Where do I get it?
On iPhone from the App Store, or from posely.it/en/download, which sends you to the right store. On Android you'll find it on Google Play.
Which phone do I need?
An iPhone with iOS 16.1 or later, or an Android phone with Android 7.0 or later. All it takes is the camera you already have: the image analysis runs on your phone, with no extra accessories.
How does the assessment work?
Three photos — front, side and back — and a balance test on one leg, for each side. From these the app works out symmetry, angles and steadiness and turns them into a score for each area: neck and shoulders, back, pelvis and legs, balance. Redo it after a few weeks and you'll see whether the numbers have moved.
Do I need someone to take the photos?
No. The app helps you frame the shot and takes the photo on its own when you're in the right position. All you need is somewhere to prop up your phone and a few meters of space.
Does Posely tell me if I have scoliosis?
No. The spine isn't among the points the model sees: spinal curves, including sideways ones, pelvic rotation, and the foot and knee seen from the side are not assessed. A high score doesn't rule them out. If a value worries you, or if something bothers you, talk to a doctor.
How much does it cost?
The first assessment is free. The exercise plan and the other features come with Posely Plus, €6.99 a month or €49.99 a year, with a seven-day free trial. You manage and cancel the subscription from the store, like any other. Prices are in euros: the store shows you the price in your currency before you confirm.
Can the professional who guides me use it?
Yes, if they use Posely. They give you a code, you enter it in the app, and from then on they can assign you an exercise program and see how your results are coming along. You're the one who enters the code: without it, nobody sees anything.
How do I cancel my subscription?
From the store, not from the app: that's where you're billed. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and choose Posely. On Android, open the Play Store, tap your profile picture at the top right, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. If you cancel during the seven-day trial you pay nothing; if you cancel later, you keep Plus until the end of the period you've already paid for and you won't be charged again.
I changed phones and lost Posely Plus
Open Profile → Restore purchases, using the same Apple or Google account you subscribed with. If you were also signed in to Posely, sign in again with the same account to get your assessments and scores back. Not the photos, though: they stay on your old phone, because we don't store them on our servers and they're encrypted with a key that never leaves it.
The assessment won't start or doesn't recognize me
Your whole body needs to be in view: prop the phone up two or three meters away, upright, at waist height, with a clear wall behind you. Light in front of you, not behind: backlight and dark rooms are the most common culprits. Close-fitting clothes help; very loose, covering outfits confuse the analysis. If the app says it can't see you, it won't make up a score: it would rather not give you one.
How do I delete my data or my account?
You can delete single assessments from their detail page in your history, and your whole history from Profile → Clear local history: it disappears from both your phone and the server. To close your account, open Profile → Delete account: after one confirmation your profile, assessments, programs and link with your professional are gone, immediately and for good, along with the photos on your phone. Signing out without deleting your account also deletes the photos from that phone: there are none on the server. Photos shared to improve recognition, with no name or account attached, can't be deleted, because nobody knows whose they are. Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription: you do that from the App Store or Google Play, as explained above. If you prefer, write to info@posely.it from the address you sign in with and we'll do it for you within thirty days. What we keep and for how long is set out in the privacy policy.
Does anyone see my photos?
No. The analysis runs on your phone and the photos stay there, with or without an account: we don't store them on our servers. On your phone they're encrypted with a key that never leaves it, they're kept out of iCloud and Google backups, and they can't be opened while the phone is locked (on Android from version 9). Not even the professional you've linked sees them: they only see the results. The only exception is your choice: if you turn on «Share to improve the recognition model» in your Profile, the photos from your later assessments are sent to a separate archive, with the head covered and already locked with a key the server doesn't have, with no name or account, to improve how body points are recognized. The details are in the privacy policy.
